Organic Homemade Spa Treatments

My friend Cara came over with a ripe avocado and was like "face mask time!" Obviously I was down, I'm always down to try out new organic things, and smushing an avocado all over my face seemed like a great idea after a long weekend.  Cara grabbed some eggs, some sugar, and a fork and went to town.

We separated the eggs white from two organic free range eggs (whatever I have to mention it because you should all eating organic).  and beat them until they were frothy.  Cara smushed the avocado and made a paste out of it.

We headed to the bathroom, washed the makeup off our faces (sadly no longer being 21 has its disadvantages) and did a lip exfoliation. We put chapstick on and then you rub sugar in circular motions around your lips for several minutes and then wash off.  Put chapstick or salve on when you're done and your smackers should be smooth.

Next we decided it was a good idea to rub raw eggs on our faces.  Back to the bathroom we went and whipped the egg whites some more and then rubbed a thin layer over our faces. Be sure to avoid eyes and lips.  Let sit until it dries.  It will slowly tighten and it will help reduce poor size.  My face feels like it was just shot up with botox tight.  Rinse with a wash cloth and warm water.  Feel your skin, it should feel amazing.

Now is a good time to put the avocado mask on since your pores are open.  Use your fingers and liberally apply the avocado all over your face.  I used a fork because I thought I was funny but I can tell you that it is alot easier to use your hands.  Let stand for 20 minutes, or until avocado goes from bright green to brown.  Rinse off and bask in the glory of your glowing face.  Apply a light moisturizer and enjoy!

That was definitely a good time and I really enjoyed using natural one ingredient items to nourish my skin.  All recipes courtesy of Cara T!
