Duct Tape Wallet

This is surprisingly easy.  Great craft for kids. This is the video one of the girls I watch found and we did this in half an hour.

Banana Pancakes

Yummy!

you can replace eggs with chia seeds and make sure to use coconut oil on the griddle!

1.5 cups of unbleached flour
1 tsp of baking powder
1 egg
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/4 cup of cane sugar

mix ingredients together and add banana slices half way through cooking time.

Roasted Garlic

This is so easy and so delicious.  All you need is so foil, a clove of garlic a few tablespoons of olive oil and an oven.

Preheat oven to 375 and cut top off garlic clove.  Remove excess skin so that one thin layer is left.  Dip top that was cut into olive oil and let it soak for several minutes.  Turn the other way and place on foil.  Wrap the clove and put it oven for about 35-45 mins.  Keep checking, the garlic is done when it is slightly brown in color and slides out with a knife.  Spread on your favorite bread and enjoy!

Organic Homemade Spa Treatments

My friend Cara came over with a ripe avocado and was like "face mask time!" Obviously I was down, I'm always down to try out new organic things, and smushing an avocado all over my face seemed like a great idea after a long weekend.  Cara grabbed some eggs, some sugar, and a fork and went to town.

We separated the eggs white from two organic free range eggs (whatever I have to mention it because you should all eating organic).  and beat them until they were frothy.  Cara smushed the avocado and made a paste out of it.

We headed to the bathroom, washed the makeup off our faces (sadly no longer being 21 has its disadvantages) and did a lip exfoliation. We put chapstick on and then you rub sugar in circular motions around your lips for several minutes and then wash off.  Put chapstick or salve on when you're done and your smackers should be smooth.

Next we decided it was a good idea to rub raw eggs on our faces.  Back to the bathroom we went and whipped the egg whites some more and then rubbed a thin layer over our faces. Be sure to avoid eyes and lips.  Let sit until it dries.  It will slowly tighten and it will help reduce poor size.  My face feels like it was just shot up with botox tight.  Rinse with a wash cloth and warm water.  Feel your skin, it should feel amazing.

Now is a good time to put the avocado mask on since your pores are open.  Use your fingers and liberally apply the avocado all over your face.  I used a fork because I thought I was funny but I can tell you that it is alot easier to use your hands.  Let stand for 20 minutes, or until avocado goes from bright green to brown.  Rinse off and bask in the glory of your glowing face.  Apply a light moisturizer and enjoy!

That was definitely a good time and I really enjoyed using natural one ingredient items to nourish my skin.  All recipes courtesy of Cara T!

Pear and Cheese Platter

I bought several organic bosc pairs and sliced them to about 1/4 inch thick.  I used a premade cheese spread to save time and energy (anything with garlic is always a plus, it's game day let's forget about the garlic breath).  I bought a roll of boars head dry pepperoni, cut up an organic cucumber and purchased some sesame crackers.  Laid everything out on a platter and provided a knife.  You can create a many different combinations and all are delicious.

Chicken Wings

I do not care for sports games unless someone makes me watch it and then I really just hang out because the food is gross but wonderfully processed.  I decided to go in a different direction with Football Sunday food with an organic note.

My friends and I made chicken wings.  We started with about 2lbs or chicken legs and wings (organic to like the 9th degree whatever, go organic and free range it makes a difference).  We washed cut and seasoned the wings and let sit for an hour ( I used pink Himalayan sea salt, truffle oil, crushed red pepper, lemon pepper and chives) .  Preheat the oven to 400 for ten minutes.  Let cook for 10 minutes and turn down temp to 375.  Let cook for ten minutes and turn wings over and turn temp down to 350.  Let cook for 7 more minutes and the wings should be done.  By initially searing in the juices you keep the chicken meat moist and cook it for longer at lower temperatures.
